SAVOUR THE MOMENT
In our busy lives, we can spend much of our time rushing from one task to the next, without taking the time to savour the joyful experiences that occur throughout our day.
We can savour the moment when we bring our full awareness to the moment and prioritise enjoyment of the sensory experience.
Joyful Eating moments are about savouring the moment with food and drink. These are moments that can help improve our digestion, increase pleasure in eating and enable us to form a healthier, more balanced and joyful relationship with food.
Often engaging in mindfulness practices can help us to savour the moment. This is because it is often our internal dialogue that takes us out of the moment and perpetuates stress and anxiety.
Sometimes it’s not a formal practice that we require but simple reminders to live in the moment; to savour each moment.
For this reason, I share Joyful Eating moments in the form of quotes, book excerpts and personal experiences on my social media platforms to remind myself and others to take a moment to be present with and enjoy the eating experience. You can join me in sharing a #joyfuleatingmoment
