DITCH FOOD RULES
Food rules are any practices or beliefs that there is a right way to eat. They may be rules advocated by a specific diet. Alternatively, they may be widespread rules, such as eating everything on your plate or what is appropriate to eat at certain mealtimes.
A principle of Joyful Eating is to ditch food labels and diet rules. They do more to perpetuate perceived cravings, the temptation for forbidden foods, overeating and eating to rebel against the food rules than promote self-care and balanced eating.
