WELLNESS DIETS
Wellness diets are lifestyle programs or meal plans that are often declared not to be a diet. However, they are generally ‘diets in disguise’ as they come with extensive food rules and perception of what health looks like. Wellness diets often perpetuate a pursuit of perfection and the same negative physiological and psychological consequences of diets. I discuss this in more detail in my book, Joyful Eating, in the section on optimal health.
