GUILT AND SHAME
Guilt and shame are emotions we can feel due to our eating behaviour or body.
Unfortunately, some of us believe (or have been led to believe) that these emotions will motivate us to change.
However, the research on weight stigma shows that the opposite is true. We are more likely to prioritise self-care from a position of self-acceptance and self-respect than guilt and shame.
I truly believe this. Thus, acceptance and self-care are cornerstones of Joyful Eating.
